Anyone knows what this beauty is?
Ok, I was on Facebook when I just saw this beauty without the proper identification. Does anyone know what it is? Or know any species with a similar look? This is so beautiful! I need to know her name to put it on my wish list!! I'm in love!

photography is a funny thing, I see this as being more magenta or "orchid purple" not blue. There is some kind of filter being used on the camera that took this.

Not sure if there is a filter or not, but if this is a coerulea variety, it's so beautiful. If not, the pink ones are also lovely! On my wish list anyway! I love spotted orchids.

this ...
it's a great hybrid! Mine's been a robust grower, easy and willing bloomer, and has a wonderful fragrance!
I think it's just the lighting / camera white balance setting giving it a bluish cast - mine open pink (magenta / violet lip), and petals become yellow with time - tho mine did give me one spike opening with quite vivid yellow petals, when the buds developed in very low light - I actually quite liked it

It sure seems to have either a blue cast, blue filter used or was Photo Shopped. I don't think there will be one that blue, but they still are lovely in purple or pink.

Then, it might be purple, or the camera changed its color. Anyway, I want one of those! If I'm lucky, it's from a vendor and he has seedlings.

WhiteRabbit, I loved your yellow ones! Does it change color depending how much light you provide?
