Gifted Paph No Tag..can you help me with id and care please?
Default Gifted Paph No Tag..can you help me with id and care please?

Hello! My dad bought me this'd Paph as a gift..it is lovely! ( so is dad )
I'm new to paphs and without a label I'm completely lost! It has one little bud as well growing.
Btw I saw some bush snails in the media..ugh but I don't think repotting it now will bee a good idea, it may abort the bud and the bloom might drop?? Plus I t has thick roots Ithey may not be tasty or easy for timy snais to munch on...maybe I'm completely delusional!!
Anyway thank you for all your help, it is thanks to your contribution that I'm being able to grow and care properly for my 'collection'!

Sorry can't help with ID, however I would submerge the pot in water to try to get the snail to move out, you will be amazed at the damage one little critter can do in just one night!

Your Paph is a hybrid, probably from Paph charlesworthii and a Paph Maudiae-type vinicolor hybrid. There are dozens of this type of hybrid registered, and no doubt some that are not registered so there is no way to be more specific. You should be able to find care instructions for Maudiae-type quite easily, and that would be appropriate.

Do what you can to get rid of snails, they can be harmful. Stale beer will often attract and kill them. Probably best to wait until spring when there is new growth to repot.
