I saw this at King Scoopers today and I HAD to have it. I thought I was done with NOIDs phals, but who am I kidding lol it has the spotted foliage and it's just beautiful. It has a name on the clear pot and it says VD HOOM ORCHIDEEEN. Usually, this is a correct identification but I can't find anything on this name. Anyone know what this means or cannot lead to an identification?
I think Van der Hoorn Orchideen is an orchid producer in the Netherlands. Why it is misspelled on this pot I don't know - Phalaenopsis designer knock-offs? It looks like it could be pure Phal stuartiana, not a hybrid. Can we see a picture of the foliage?
Yes PaphMadMan, your right, it's from Van der Hoorn Orchideen. So odd they usually put the name of the plant there. Mjaenke, I think it may be! On one of Peter Lin's post he says its floriferous and this one has tons of flowers and many secondary spikes already forming.
It really does PaphMadMan, it was a must have the minute I saw it. I don't usually buy phals at full price, but I just couldn't say no. It's so beautiful and I am so happy to have it
