Fragrant Phal ID??? Male
Default Fragrant Phal ID???

The first plant...I bought this phal a few years ago and it came with the tag "Phal. Pingtung Gold"... However i dont believe that it is a pingtung gold as its flowers are a different shape and lack the orange markings. This flower is lightly fragrant and bloom in the winter, its flower spikes dont die back and often re-flower during the year. Hope this helps; i know it is hard but can anyone give me a potential id? (I think it may be Phal. "Orchid Konnection Princess", but its foliage it a bit "pointier"...)

The second one was bought recently and also has a light fragrance... however did not come with a tag...

I think the first one probably is Phal. Pingtung Gold. It has some of the same characteristics that I see in Orchid Wiz. I've found that yellow phals often form new flowers during the year. It must be a growth habit of one of the species in their background. The second one might be Phal. Purple Martin or, more likely, a cross with Phal. Purple Martin as one of the parents.
