If they grow plants like that you should get to know them. Plant people generally don't mind when neighbors knock on their door to tell them how nice their plants are.
And you would be surprised at how we start talking about our plants when people are interested in how we care for them, just don't knock on the door at diner time.
A nicely-grown Dendrobium, but definitely not Nestor nor anything else in section Dendrobium-- looks more like a hybrid involving sections Spatulata and Phalaenanthe. I agree you should introduce yourself to this neighbor, plus the plant looks to have a keiki (vegetative growth in a position more typical of flower spikes) or two so if your neighbor is cool, you might go home with a new plant...

Nestor is MUCH smaller than this, has flowers on different parts of the cane and has different shaped flowers. I think the above hybrid breakdown is sound!
