Exclamation Moth Orchid Problem identification?

I'm new to owning orchids and I've had mine for 2 months. It's doesn't seem to show signs of aphids, ants, mealybugs, scale, mites, thrips, aphids, or mold. The leaves, stems, and moss look fine. Only the flower part is damaged with long-ish green thinnings/holes. More than 1 flower is affected but I only am using a picture of the worst one. It's indoor only so I know the problem isn't caterpillars or snails. What could this be?

Welcome to the OB!
Was the plant in full bloom when you got it? And did it had this or is it new, meaning it started happening once in your care? If is new, my guess is that the flowers are old and ready to drop. The flowers start to look shabby once they been in bloom for a few months. Also if the petals have being touch, sometimes that can damage them.

I don't think is a virus, but you can also look at the link and see if anything looks like what your flowers has.

Orchid Pests, Orchid Diseases

Hope this helps, also other who know a lot more will give you some ideas of what is going on.

Could be the bud was damaged slightly (nicked; some substance sitting on it ?) perhaps.
