This is an old family orchid. Had it for over 20 years. I would love to know what it is

Pics of the entire plant would be useful. I see some brassavola influence in the lip, my first instinct is that it's a Blc. type cattleya. These are complex hybrids. Very popular and heavily hybridized. Without a tag, a 100% positive ID is not possible, but we can probably narrow it down to the type, which will get you more specific directions for its care.

Looks like it has a lot of brassovola digbiana in it.

I agree, this does look like it has a little B. digbyana in it with is frilly lips, very nice flower.
