Default What is this ("inherited" orchid)?

Fleshy leaves, especially at the base of the plant, which is about 40cm tall. Some "air roots", both at the base and further up. Not planted in soil.

I'd post a photo, but this thing won't let me

Once you have 5 posts you will be able to post pictures and then more members will also be able to help you to identify your orchid. Just go and place a few comments on other posts. " like great growing or you like that one to." then come back and post your pictures. Hope this helps.

Air roots higher on the stem as well as near the base, suggests 2 or 3 possibilities among commonly grown orchids - A reedstem Epidendrum, something in the Vanda alliance, or possibly an Angraecum. All could match that height and some might be described as having fleshy leaves. A picture will help once you have posted a few more times.
