New noID Haul
Default New noID Haul

My husband is starting to really like orchids too, which is great for me, because he has taken to buying them for me for holidays/reasons to celebrate. This past Saturday, he bought me a new round of orchids to celebrate Mother's Day and our upcoming anniversary, so here they are! (We find most of ours at Trader Joe's, hence the large batch of noID.)

We are new to orchids, so we are not too great at figuring out what kind they are yet, but we do recognize the Sharry Baby because it looks and smells just like the Sharry Baby we bought at our recent garden/orchid show. We also recognize the one that is some sort of Dendrobium (Nobile type?). We suspect that the two yellow-ish ones that resemble the flower structure of the Sharry Baby are oncidiums? Although the darker yellow one with the dark red/brown has blooms 3-4 times the size of the other yellow and the Sharry Baby, so we could be wrong.
The dark purple one says it is a Phal, but it is so different from the other Phals I have/have seen, so I don't know what that means. Hybrid?
The last one that is a very very light yellow (or cream?) with dark red in the center...we just have no idea what that one is. Apparently, I don't know what to search for to find anything like it.

If you have any input/experience with these, feel free to share! (especially that last one...I have no idea how to care for it) Mostly, I just wanted to share the pretty new babies with other people who love them too. I always enjoy seeing others' finds.

The cream one is a Beallara, probably a no(further)id crossing based on Tahoma Glacier.
The yellow Oncidium is going to be magnificent within a few years.
The more brownish one is probably Oncidium x Odontoglossum.
They will all do well with the same care you give Sharry Baby.

The Dendrobium is indeed a nobile type hybrid.

Looks like the small yellow flower one is oncidium sweet sugar, I have that one also although nearly killed it from under watering few years back. Your oncidiums should like a good amount of water as long as the pot and medium drain well! Good luck they are all very nice. They all look like oncidiums except for photo 1 and the dendrobium nobile.

The last one is definatelt Beallara Tahoma Glacier. Though I am not sure if it is "green" or not. Very easy care. I accidentally killed mine, and think they are so great, I want another!
