This plant is a mystery to me. Iv'e had it since 2013 the tag, if it ever had one, is long since lost. I did repot it last year but I don't remember ever seeing flowers on it.
This Feb. it started a spike and I was so exited to see it mature. Now that it has can anybody identify it? Thanx.
Thanx Judith. I am going to reduce the picture in size with Paint Shop, print it and laminate it. I have done that to many of my noids. There they sit, nothing but leaves and I don't have a clue what the flowers look like.
I'm new to orchids, but I LOVE the flowers on that one! The colors and the way they contrast and yet blend into each other makes it highly pleasing to my eye.
Thanks, White Rabbit. Iv'e sort of came to the same conclusion after internet hunting a bit. The flower is just so different with its little yellow serrated tongue. No scent. A second spike was coming out, but the cat broke the tip of it off.
It almost looks like Wilsonara Pacific Command "Scarlett". Being as it has no tag, there's not a lot to be done to confirm it's id. Regardless, it's beautiful. Some of my tagged plants have ended up not being the plant I thought I had purchased. Still enjoy them, despite the noid status😏
