My money is on it being a Dendrobium of some kind? What who knows. If it blooms you will have a better idea.

Well against all odds, this little twig has sprouted 3 new growths. One at the base under the moss and then two more along the cane. I still think the roots look very orchid like, but it's a head scratcher.

It sure looks like a Dendrobium cane. And many of them keiki freely.

Certainly looks like keikis to me, too! I just can't get over how thin and wispy the foliage is. Whatever it is, it looks like I'll have a couple soon!
