New Zealand Native.
Sorry I think I know this one, but thought some may like to see a very tiny smelly orchid.
I know you are not allowed to take these out of the country. Funny as it seems I know a few of these growing right in full sight on a wall here in Auckland and on a main road. If you knew the smell you would be able to track it down quick enough. Pungent that is for sure for a tiny little orchid.

Erina, but not sure which as it grows upright.
Where this came from there are whole branches of oak trees covered in it. We were pruning branches overhanging the sheds and threw a huge amount away. I could not transport and was not sure about the legality of giving them to any one.
I have a weeping one as well. They flower at different times.
This came from an Apple tree along side the Waipa
river.

Glad you saved what you could. They are very nice. Is the fragrance one that you look forward to or one one that makes you glad it only blooms once a year. lol...Jean

I believe it is Earina autumnalis - common name is Raupeka, I believe. You might check that out and see if it doesn't fit the description of what you have. If so, from what I understand it is considered non-threatened and common. I don't know if that affects the legality sharing them though. It is really gorgeous - and I want to know too - Pleasant smell or stench?

Thank you.
Yes it is autumnalis It is an interesting smell. I cannot pick it. But towards unpleasant. Defiantly pungent and fairly strong fragrance. The site I found says very strong sweet perfume. I guess it all depends on who's opinion it is.
I would say you are right as it I know it grows around Rotorua and up here in Auckland. As far as legal, I have a feeling it is illegal to try and get it out of the country as with most of our native plants. But this maybe a lot different to sharing here. I never tried to find out.

The other one is Earina mucronata, but I cannot find any pics of mine right now.
