That is the full name. Blc. stands for Brassolaeliocattleya. It also goes by Rlc. ( Rhyncholaeliocattleya) Dal's Thunder.

The parents of this hybrid are Rlc. Mount Isa x Rlc. Goldenzelle. The plant has 38% C. dowiana which is a species that is yellow with a striking orangey/red lip which comes thru in the look of your bloom.

Thanks so much. So is it just Dal's Thunder? There are so many by that name eg. Dal's Thunder 'April' and Dal's Thunder 'James' that I thought there might be more to the name.
Your help is very much appreciated.
Regards. Marj, Australia

Dal's Thunder is the registered hybrid name. The other names in quotes that your refer to are specific cultivar names usually given to plants when awarded an AOS or other countries' awards. It is specific to that plant and only divisions or clones of that plant can carry that part of the name. I checked this in OrchidWiz and didn't see any awards for this hybrid so I am surprised that you see so many cultivar names attached. Possibly vendors are adding their own cultivars names for selling purposes, even if they aren't registered officially.
