Can someone help me with an ID? Cattleya?
[IMG] [/IMG]
I rescued this orchid from a Lowes a couple summers ago and it has finally gifted me with a single bloom. Can anyone give me a prod in the right direction?
I definitely love the green and pink combo
Thanks,
Evan

It is a Cattleya, as you surmise but I am not a Cattleya grower, hopefully a Cattleyan will help? Lovely flower. Congratulations.

There has beena lot of breeding along these lines. Could be a next generation on Burana Beauty.

If the petals are more green than in your photo, it could be Blc. Village Chief North. But without a tag, it is just a guess.

I was also going to say Blc. Village Chief North. I had one that I just gave away recently and it looked just like that.

I agree with Silken, that is the one that popped in my mind also! But whatever the 'name' it is a lovely cross!

Hi everybody! I think that You can surely tag your Blc. as Village Chief North because when light intensity is not strong enough colour are not saturated ...Everything rest is right as this peloric Blc.
Thanks

I agree with Silken that it could be Rlc. Village Chief North but it could also be Rlc. Yen Corona 'Green Genie'. It's difficult to know for sure.
