Calanthe Calanthe Hybrid Phaius?
I could not resist this, I found it at My local Home Depot, and I think someone miss-marked($2.47) prices. Anyway,It had no tag or label, only the sku sticker. It has elongated pseudobulbs, and leaves similar to Phcal Kryptonite, which was also available...@$29.
Any help would be appreciated.

Gorgeous...and what a steal!!!
A friend of mine recently picked up Phaiocalanthe Kryptonite 'Blood Bath' and this seems to be the same plant...the only Kryptonite I don't have
My friend grabbed the only one there! and she paid more than $2.47 for it

Very nice colour, is it a large spike? No idea what this one could be since this is a new species for me. But would you have any pictures of the plant?
I have Phaiocalanthe Krpytonite 'Ursula' that is growing two spikes at the moment and I've never seen it flower so this is kind of exciting. I do notice that it's one of the largest plants in my collection, with a very upright habit and it does require a fair amount of watering with it's new bark mix. The poor thing has even been wilted a couple times during it's short time with me. I also have a calanthe which requires less water since it's growing in sphagnum moss, so far no spike yet.

Yes, Susanne is correct on this one, this is Phcal. Kryptonite 'Bloodbath'. I, too, have this one... it just finished blooming. I also have Phcal. Kryptonite 'Ursula', which looks similar...except it has less white in the lip.

Hi Gloria
I don't remember any of them having a fragrance but the beauty makes up for that If you have the room, you should get one...or all...of the Kryptonites
