I would like some help to identify this beautiful Cattleya. The colour of the Cattleya was light green at the beginning. Now the colour has changed to almost white with yellow in the middle. Because of this change it is really difficult to identify.
This cattleya was bought by my husband before we even met. We met in 2003. This is the first year it has flowered giving out one single flower. So 11 years wait for me
It is likely a Cattleya Deesse (actually deEsse) hybrid. DeEsse is a famous parent for both pinks and whites. Fascinating story. French breeding, likely from Vacherot and Lecoufle.
Great success for your patience. One trait of Rhyncholaelia digbyana is that it needs strong plants and much light for flowering, and that it brings often only 1-2 flowers. The flower reminds me of a Rlc. Pastoral, but petals in this cross are often broader.
