Help with identification of an unusual looking Pink Cymbidium Orchid
Default Help with identification of an unusual looking Pink Cymbidium Orchid

Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum and am delighted to find that there are such extensive forums on orchids!

I'm actually looking to identify this unusual looking orchid as I'm intending to get a tattoo in memory of my mother who recently passed, she loved orchids and had a word representing the orchid flower in her name as well.

I found this photo online and fell in love with how beautiful the shape of this orchid is and it was labelled as a Pink Cymbidium Orchid, but it doesn't look like any other Pink Cymbidiums I've seen online, would love to get your opinions on what it actually is?

Thank you so much!

cheers

Beautiful Cym! It's probably not possible to identify, sorry - but that doesn't detract from its beauty at all!

Once a tag has been lost from a plant, it is virtually impossible to positively identify it as there may be hundreds of others similar to it. The best thing to do is to enjoy it for what it is and not worry about a name.

Thank you guys so much for the help! Yes, this one is particularly beautiful, I never realized there were so many hybrids within the Orchid species until I came here!
