Small wild orchid West Java

I found this orchid on a fern tree in my property. I usually found it with seed capsule but finally I saw one in bloom


The plant. The reddish brown stuff are actually pine needles not roots, so you have some idea of the actual size of the plant.

I have a couple of tree fern but Curiously this type of orchid only found on this particular tree fern. The tree is in shady location, my place is about 800 meters above sea level.

I asked quite a few friends and vendors about it and no one knows... So it make me really curious

Very cool! First and very brief impression is something in genus Eria, but I'm interested to see what others think...

Someone did say it might be an Eria, but I also heard Bulbophyllum. I lean toward Eria but there are a lot of Erias!

I don't think this could be Bulbophyllum, which as far as I know always have single-noded pseudobulbs and in which the inflorescence always arises from the rhizome or 'eyes' at the base of the pseudobulb. This plant looks to have pbulbs of 2+ nodes and, though it's hard to tell exactly, the inflorescences look like they're coming out of the bulbs rather than the rhizome.

You are very lucky. I have never seen one for sale.

I disagree with one statement: "It has no commercial value."

To be more precise, I'd say it has no large scale commercial value, such as that for hybrid Phals. It does have species or novelty collector value.
