NOID Oncidium or Brassidium Kokedama?

i bought this from a flower shop whose staff weren't 100% on the details.
they described it as an oncidium in the kokedama potting style.
it looks very similar to a brassidium i have, but as there are currently no blooms it's really hard to tell...

anyone have any good guesses?
should i come back after the blooming?

attached are three pics of the NOID and 1 of my three-week old baby who's ID is Oscar. He says hi.

Love the moss! It could be one of countless hybrids that have this same general look. Let's see when it blooms!

At least there is no question as to the ID on photo #4.

thanks! yeah, he's great.

will keep everyone posted on the orchid... there's lots of growth on it, some new growth, and aside from a touchy leaf no signs of disease, so i think it was a good purchase. it's my first kokedama however so it's going to be interesting.

hopefully i will have something to report by winter

well, here we are 7 months later... and a pseudobulb grew out on either side!
they are evidently not getting enough water as the new leaves are accordionned - one side has only one wrinkle, but the other side whose roots are stuck a little more out in the air has quite a few. i didn't catch this new growth in time, unfortunately.
i was going to repot it (re-wrap it?) to enclose the roots of the new growth, when i noticed an inflorescence on either side. i opted to wrap some moss around the "driest" side to aid in moisture retention, but otherwise leave it as is until the flowers die off.

any body have any idea how long it will take these stems to come to bloom? i still have no idea what plant this is... waiting for the flowers to tell me their names!

Picture #4 is identified as Oscarvarium infans

a crossbreed of
Mrphilipsia pater and mrsphilipsia mater

He grows best with generous amounts of love and kisses and sleeping on pater's chest.

He takes about 18-22 years to attain full maturity and will bloom in his adulthood. This variety has been known to separate from his pater and mater to seek his own roots in a new pot.

If generously blessed with great genes and loving leaf coverage from his parents he will bring great joy to both his mater and pater and those around him in the surrounding plants and pots.

If he was a volunteer who sprung up in the midst of his pater and mater he is doubly blessed.

It still is just like most Oncidium spikes. And they are pretty slow to bud and bloom, so more patience required! Then it may be identifiable but Oncidiums are one of the largest alliances and there are so many hybrids. So even then it is more likely not going to be possible to give it positive ID. Maybe once you have blooms the place you bought it from will know what it was if they just lost the tag. Or maybe the tag is buried in the root ball

We'll look forward to seeing bloom pics tho.

here is the oscarvarium at almost 9 months... i will be trimming the roots as they develop so HE NEVER LEAVES ME, obviously.

Awesome that it is in spike. CUTE BABY for real. They are so much fun at that age. 2-3 years was my favorite time of all.

ooh - the mystery abounds with this one.

i'll submit picks when they bloom. the dorks at the place i bought it are overpaid teenagers who have no idea what anything is, so they won't be able to help. when i asked them what kind it was they said "an orchid".
and yeah, if it's in the root ball i'll find it when i re-pot it.

so any idea of how many months i may be looking at? i have to move by the end of august and i really didn't want to have to trouble this 'chid during its blooming phase...
