Can anyone get me to the genus at least of this wild orchid in Colombia? Thank you.

I could be wrong, but it looks a lot like Catasetum Planiceps. The region would be correct for this species as well since it grows in North South America

Yes that could be it but the structure looks a little different in the images I found of P planiceps. Here is a closer view of the flowers.

By golly I think that's it and the description of it's growing environment fits to a t the location where I found it. Thanks very much. Interestingly none of the images I've run across show the purple "tongue" that is on some of flowers of my plant.

I second Catasetum ochraceum.

If it isn't, it's a very similar looking species.
