I could be wrong, but it looks a lot like Catasetum Planiceps. The region would be correct for this species as well since it grows in North South America
By golly I think that's it and the description of it's growing environment fits to a t the location where I found it. Thanks very much. Interestingly none of the images I've run across show the purple "tongue" that is on some of flowers of my plant. IOSPE PHOTOS
