I think not, but don't know enough botany to know how to tell. I'm glad you brought it up though, because it caused me to look up Rhynchostylis, and I noticed that "they prefer indirect light." I have one that I think is Rhynchostylis, and I put it out in full sunlight. I'd better move it back into a less exposed area, but leave the Vandas in the sun. For the next few months I don't think they're going to get sunburned, but I worry about the hot dry season, February to May.

It's probably some cross of Aerides and either Astrocentrum or Ascocenda. You can really see the Aerides showing up pretty strongly in the flowers.

I dunno, the Aerides all seem to have a much more prominent lip than this one, and they have that very noticeable spur. One of my Facebook friends, who has an orchid farm here in Thailand, gave his opinion that it's definitely an Ascocenda, which no longer exists as a classification, so I guess it's now a Vanda. I wish they wouldn't make these species so large. I have another plant which I had identified as a Rhynchostylis gigantea, but now that you've pointed them out, may be an Aerides. I'm afraid it's not going to bloom again until next Spring (well, end of the Cold Dry Season). Can't remember why I didn't take a picture when it was in bloom.
