He did tell me to stretch the foot forward and back. and the boot for immobilization that I can remove to bathe. I dunno...
Hey again Lilac!

First, alas, the exchange we morphed into in this thread does not belong here despite its importance.

Yes, what you now share, alas, confirms what I picked up and which concerns me.

What should be the default in all of life arenas, personal, professional, I submit,.....is always honoring others by sharing information. That owes to the underlying default: identifying with The Other.

Not sure where you are geographically, but health care all over is abysmal in varying ways. I have no doubt this practitioner is slammed, overloaded.....but you are not meant to forego the info you need because of that.

Perhaps all this is mean to empower you to be more pro active, take more charge and chase those data.....both on your own and with the professional in question! THAT IS HEALTHY AND THAT IS YOUR RIGHT.

Informed is empowered.

When you become more the architect of your own destiny....all manner things will change for the better!!!

Chase those data!!!

Lilac, you just made my day.

Often, the less we plan, the more things evolve as they are meant to!

Remember: YOU DESERVE.

Just because you have no interest at this time in showing your plant or having it judged does not invalidate the concern I mentioned. As I said in my original post, should you someday down the road either change your mind about showing your plant (which is hardly beyond the realm of possibility as most folks are hardly static with regards to their interests) or if you should give away or sell the plant or its divisions, this can potentially become an problematic. And even if you, personally, never do any of the aforementioned, as a point of discussion for others who may wish to enter or have judged NoIDs they have named, I felt it was worth addressing.

Hi again, Paul!

I much appreciate yr clarifications.

My feeling was, your “assigned” tenets for everyone's involvements in this subculture may have been a bit rigid and so, precluding truth and getting that dancing is a part of our engineering (when not tampered with early on), should be celebrated, and never compromises serious interest....in fact, it enhances it.; improves its energy.

Also, while my interest and involvement in more things than anyone can stand is deep and serious…..it is also, I do now get, not conventional. I experience things both in detail and holistically, and, increasingly am not hostage to anything official or doctrinaire.

Remember some humans on earth who have been brilliant gatherers/farmers for thousands of years are not only ignorant of formal horticulture/botany, but are sometimes not even literate! But, they ‘GET IT.” AND, sometime, on levels and in ways which elude those stuck in the arcane minutae which can sometimes cost perspective

My fav quote form a formidable dead luminary, the one with which I identify most, is from Marcel Proust: The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.

Re "change" being a core dynamic in life, of course…..but never abrogating the emerging indigenous essence of a given individual’s complex and unique being…. remember again, we truly are each unique! Knocks me out every minute. As are our orchids, even including our clones, as someone keen here pointed out.

I think, it’s now time for a group hug.

Late addenda:

This vivid mini is slow to open its buds, tho, with its multi branching habit, there were/are many, esp given this is a fairly recent save. What I am now interested in, I saw this early on: the ANGLED PETALS. Does that speak some species parentage?

I just made new pic and will put it up.

Edit: Just went to primary hybrids page I found and put up a link to; it seems many species have the angled petals, so this ain life and death, just would be neat to know more; I have zero curiosity about all my standard Phals, all of which came my way from the trash in this building.
