There are 2 pseudobulbs on the Brassia that doesn't look good to me. They look like there's some unusual markings on them that look a lot like soft rot.

It is showing up on the 2nd set of photos you posted on your 5th post, in the 3rd photo. The wrinkled pseudobulb in the top right of the pic has some watery looking patches on it that resembles soft rot. Then the pseudobulb below it with the new shoot coming out of the left of the pseudobulb looks as if there's something going on at the base of the pseudobulb that looks like the beginnings of rot, (I might be wrong about this one, but it looks like there's something to be concerned about to me), there's a little bit of brown down there.

Phal mannii and Phal cornu-cervi are actually a bit easier to tell apart from the lip detail and measurements. If you're able to provide at least the lip detail, it might be easier to determine whether it is Phal mannii or Phal cornu-cervi. But I do agree with Kevin, that I believe it might be a Phal mannii, not a Phal cornu-cervi. Again, a detailed photo of the lip will tell all.

KOG...YOU have a keen eye! How VERY observant! Seriously, I wish I could bottle that talent and feed it to my Nursing students! You're right!

I soaked the plants today and even though that loosened them up a bit, had to break the clay pot to minimize damage to the roots.

It took me over two hours to get them cleaned up. I found that bulb (there were actually two of them) and removed them with a sterile scalpel. No foul smell but a mushiness that didn't look right to me either.

I'll soak them tomorrow in a systemic fungicide and after they dry out, they'll get potted up. I'll post pictures once it's done.

The phal isn't in bloom right now. I really wish it were but maybe I can change that at some point. When it does, I'll post close-ups of the bloom. I'd really like to remount it differently....but not sure if I'll do that any time soon since I think it could use some TLC and nutrition beforehand. Maybe in the spring.

Kevin...thank you for your input! When I get a bloom, I'll post it!

What a coincidence.

I am currently working as a medical assistant and am also concurrently going into nursing after having to be an actor for 14 or so years.

Anyways…

Hope your orchids do well.

Pictures of the orchids when they bloom are always welcome.

I'd divide all of these. I think in the long run if you leave these to grow any further you'll really create a monster and repotting next time will damage the plant more than just dividing now.

How are the brassias doing? Have you started dividing them yet? Repotted the smaller ones? Just wondering.
