My husband just picked this up for me...it looks so unusual (to me anyway lol) that I thought maybe some forum members could chime in. He has great taste doesn't he

Sorry for the sideways pic...my phone has a mind of its own

I have this one! It's cute! It's really sensitive to temp change though, so if you have some buds that have not opened, make sure they don't catch a draft at all, or they will blast.

No idea what it could be. Some sort of mini harlequin.

Thank you for the tip RG I will be extra careful as most haven't opened yet. My husband has come a LONG way choosing plants for me, thanks to this board I've been able to educate him on what to look for and what to watch out for when picking me a new one. He's been an eager study because he sees how much pleasure they bring me and it was hard for him to watch me struggle in the beginning. Before I found this forum Orchids were just a beautiful (momentarily) source of frustration and disappointment. We (myself, my husband, and our Orchids) are beyond grateful for all the help and support here

I dunno if my hubby would ever shop for an orchid for me. He did go to an orchid show with me though. So there might be hope for him yet.

The colors remind me of a large NOID I had last year. Very unique looking bloom styles.

Thanks everyone My problem is keeping him from getting me one every time he goes shopping. I think he needs meetings or something If it weren't for serious limitations as far as suitable windows, I'd let him get me as many as he wanted but for now I have to result to threats and they don't work every time as you can see...lol

Yes! I just love the way the petals curl back. Orchids in general just captivate me ❤️

Tell him that every time he wants to buy you a Noid put that money back and then at Christmas or your Bday anniversary take that money and get a really AMAZING orchid that ya'll both think is really cool or if like me weird! Then you still have space for the occasional exceptional NOID. Lol. But hey at least he buys you one or two...or a bakers dozen.
Plus I am not big on noids either but this one I SO could not resist this funky one.

Kindrag has an excellent idea.

You could also say, as long as it's a mini, it's ok.
