The plant with the purple flowers are Oncidium hybrid (bealleara is the old name I think) Howard's Dream.
I don't think the second one is masdy, but it is maxillaria tenuifolia. The coconut orchid.
I think I see some old spikes, but not sure. There are some growth acitivity and the plant is of flowering size, so you will have some nice flowering soon.
Good Luck!

I agree as well. The second one is defintely not a Masdie, they don't have bulbs as such. My thought was Maxallaria. I only know Maxallaria tenuifolia and it does look like that, but maybe other Maxallaria look similar out of flower
The first I can't say more than that it's an Oncidium intergeneric hybrid.

There are some Maxillarias that look similar to Maxillaria tenuifolia when they're out of bloom.
It really depends on where the OP got their orchid from.
If it's a place that doesn't deal with too many specialty orchids, then it's most likely Max tenuifolia.
@ sg2100: Your Maxillaria needs a little more light. It is too dark a shade of green.

Howards Dream has far more spotting. This one is solid except for one area on the lip, so I do not agree that it is Howards Dream, but I think it could be a Beallaria. The other seems like a nice Maxillaria, but I am ignorant of those myself, except to say it looks like Teunifolia. You are in luck with the Beallaria in that it is one of the more forgiving of the oncidiums. It has fat thick roots, big bulbs, and massive flowers, as well as good sturdy leaves. It should grow well under most intermediet conditions. They sunburn easily but love the sun. If you get the right shade cloth, it can stay outside for a while.
The Maxillaria needs to remain moist but not soggy and likes a strong shaded light. They have coconut scented flowers. The flowers are not large or impresive, but the smell is said to be marvelous.

It is HD. Howards Dream can have lots of spots but not always. If you look closer, it is not just the lip that are spotted. They are all over but just not clearly marked.
BTW, your max looks perfectly fine to me. not dark green at all.
