Default unknown oncidium species

Can anyone help me I.D. this species oncidium. Probably collected in Mexico pre-1970. Hope there are not a number of species that are nearly identical. They all look quite similar to me, esp. if species are variable.
Thanks
Laurel

I took some more photos today. Hope these help. It's a very large, very old plant that long ago ate its mount.

I don't know this species. It sort of looks like sphacelatum, except that sphacelatum is larger, has smaller flowers, and spikes with 75-150 flowers.

I will send you a PM with an email address of someone, who knows Oncidiums well.
