Finally got acceptable (size wise) picture of the first orchid I bought. La Casa de las Orquideas suggested (without actually seeing it) it might be a Phalænopses of some sort but since there was no image he couldn't be sure.

So here is an image. It has three main petals. Unfortunately I didn't set the f stop high enough to get good depth of field

It would be better if you could take a picture of the leaves. Probably a phal but some dens look that way too.

I just got three more with various colors so will take pic's tomorrow and post them too.

I'm all new at this orchid thing so am finding out things I would never have thought of.

I think Phal, the bud shape is usually different on a Den, those buds are phal shaped buds and the petals also look like phal petals (though as said above some Dens can look similar).
