Default Rhyncholaelia digbyana bloom open

Bloom finally open.
I had this orchid for 2 1/2 years. Try to kill it a couple of times by ignorance, finally we understand each other.
Thanks to all that put a name to this nice flower.

It's a little bit creepy with all that furry fringe on it, but still cool.

WOW! That one has been on my "must have" list for years. Honestly, it's been at the very top of it.

I have about a dozen seedlings at the moment and I just can't wait to see any of them flower. I shall no doubt be holding my breath for a few years.

Well done, love it.

Cheers,
Aus.

When they flower, make sure you check the fragrant smell only at night, it is pleasant delicate and different.
Good luck with your seedling. Where did you get them from?

You have prompted me to count - I have a total of 21 RCL Digbyana "Mrs Chase" x self purchased in 50mm tubes, since repotted. All are going well and none have died. I can't go to that place without buying at least a couple of these. And I've had a hard time finding them anywhere else, or finding larger plants. Now I've stopped looking and am just going to wait. Selfing can be tricky so I'm hoping some (or all) of them turn out okay.

I got them at:

Fame Orchids

They aren't too far away from me, about a 30 minute drive.

Cheers,
Aus.
