. This Wilsonara was in the Blue Ridge Orchid Society show last weekend as it was beginning to bloom. It now has 30 blooms on one spike and another spike coming. I have repotted it in part bark and part sphagnum in a slightly larger container. I don't want to lose the plant to root rot. Would it be better in a slatted hanging basket?
Wilsonara do fine in pots. Hanging baskets are better for orchids that like to dry out between waterings, and Wilsonara prefer to not dry out too much. But, if you do prefer a basket then that would be fine too. Just be sure it doesn't become very dry between waterings.
