Default Is it an Orchid?

Found in Colombia. If an orchid is it some sort of Pleurothallis or Lepanthes? Will the little tubes open into flowers?

Thank you.

Fascinating; I have spent over a year in Colombia and have never seen a plant like this one. I would like to know more about it, and know if you have seen any others like it. When it flowers I would like to see pictures and at different angles of the fower.

Yes I am very interested in seeing what develops and will certainly photograph the results.

It does look like some kind of Pleurothallid, but I don't think I've ever seen anything like that cluster of buds. I'll be interested to see it in flower.

Looks a lot like an Octomeria, which species I haven't a clue though...

You have to look at the flower. If you have a fused column, you have an orchid. If you have pistils and stamen, you do not have an orchid.

I sent your photos to a friend in Ecuador and he believes it to be Pleurothallis ruscifolia; it is just a guess until it opens.

My plant has flowered and indeed it appears to be Pleurothallis ruscifolia. Thank you very much OCRC and others for your help.
