Default Restrepia who?

I believe this is a species. The tag has gone missing. the flower is huge, about 2" long just the bottom sepal without the top antenna like sepal.

Any ideas? I'm thinking guttulata, maybe?

Can't tell for sure, many of the species are very similar. Since there are also some Restrepia hybrids, it might remain a NOID.

Can you recall where you got it from? Maybe a picture to the seller (or person that gave you a division) could help them remember and give you an ID.

Whisperer is correct. They are difficult to tell apart without dissecting a flower and there are some hybrids out there as well some of them unregistered. I have an unregistered hybrid of elegans and dodsonii that looks a bit like this. If it is a species it might be guttulata, but I'm not going to stake my life on that.

I've got another plant blooming with identical flowers. the tag says "Columbia Species"
Here is a better shot The background color is a yellow. The spots are red/burgundy

You might want to contact an orchid taxonomist like James D Ackerman at the University of Puerto Rico to ask if there is a key for identifying the various species of Restrepia.

Thank you, I'll have to do that. I was trying to contact Lynne O’Shaugnessy with Plerothallid Alliance, but the site is down due to hacking issues.
