Maybe a Guarianthe skinneri?
Default Maybe a Guarianthe skinneri?

Hello everyone! I bought this orchid last week and they told me: "it is a skinneri", but I'm not sure about what it really is. I have been investigating and I think it can be a Guarianthe skinneri.
What do you think?

It does look like G. skinneri. Those flowers are about done though aren't they?!

Is that a little Platycerium growing on the moss near the base of the oldest cane?

I second Cattleya / Guarianthe skinneri, Costa Rica's national flower. They call it Guarica morada.

Oh, I'm not sure. I'll check it when I got home because I think it is possible because where I bought the orchid they also sell Platyceriums. I'll keep you informed

Hey euplusia! Thanks for confirm it! Yes, I knew they call it this way. I think that "Guarica" is the way they call orchids there.
