Majority of orchids sold in super markets and box stores originate in Taiwan. Since majority of mass market customers have no interest in a name, they do not bother with this detail.
I have some contacts with a Taiwanese orchid organization. Most of the time plants come in with a number, just to identify that they are from the same group.
You would have to know which importer, and then which batch the plant arrived in, and then check back to the Taiwanese nursery where the plant originated. This is an impossible process, so unless someone recognizes the photo of the flower, the name will remain unknown.
And, any name identified this way will remain a best guess, not a certainty.
