Default Dendrobium ID Help

Here's another of the post '04/05 hurricane survivors. This Dendrobium has a faintly sweet smell and is blooming for the first time in 2 years. It barely survived when blown out of it's pot and lay in the bushes for several weeks before I found her.

Thank you pheli. I believe you are correct and I will label it as such.

I must admit it does Nancy. After examining a photo of the Spring Bride vs the Spring Jewel, the Spring Jewel's flower is almost exactly like the one I have. The petals are slightly more pointed on the Spring Bride than mine.
I appreciate your suggestion, it was kind of fun examining the two pictures, side by side, along with my orchid.

Well, I got anal enough to look up both of them; Spring Bride is Ise x Mild Umi, and Spring Jewel is Mild Umi x Hatsushimo - so these have a parent in common. I think one was registered by H&R, the other by Yamamoto.
Continuing through the 'Spring' names registered by these two hybridizers only, each with one of the three above-listed parents, we have Spring...Doll, Frolic, Hill, Shower and Whisper. Don't know what any of these look like, of course, but I'm suspecting that if you googleimage them, you'll find some more white ones.
And those are only the *registered* hybrids, there are surely dozens more unregistered.
Very tough to label a plant with certainty when the tag has vanished. And, of course, you can't even be really sure when you have the tag! I have a labeled Dend. Pinwattana that is absolutely either a hybrid of, or plain-old, Vanda tessellata - at least you are sure yours is a Dendrobium. That's something.
Cheers - Nancy
