A fellow member of my Orchid Society bloomed this Dendrobium, but she doesn't know what Dendrobium it is (and neither do I). Can anybody help us identifying it?

Looks like an Eria but I don't know the species. Cool plant!

I have three varieties of Eria and they have bulbs with spearlike and pointy tip leaves. This is a zigzagging cane in the picture with a definite Dendrobium leaves.
I think it is a Dendrobium speciosum variation that is a widespread Australian orchid but also a very variable orchid, forming a species complex.

Orquiadicto, look up Eria floribunda, it looks pretty close to your photo. Some other species in the same section (Urostachya) like euryantha and multiflora also look similar, though none seem common in cultivation, not in the US anyway. Hope this helps!

I looked at the pictures of Eria floribunda and it looks similar to your plant; zigzag stem and same color lip.

Thank you all. I'll give her the hint to look at the Eria genus to identify her plant.
