An orchid aor a Lily?
Default An orchid or a Lily?

Hi evryone! It's a beautiful day here on the island. Not raining for a change!

I have an identity question that may not be related to orchids, but I hope you can help me.

My cousin says that this plant is a Lily.

She says it appeared in her garden box and that she left it because of the lovely leaves and suddenly this week it bloomed.

It is so similar to the Spider and Urchin orchids, I'm just wondering...Does anyone recognize it and can name it?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes,
and the give-away was the pistil and classic stamens with powdery pollen.

Orchids have pollen masses at the tip of the column.
