Someone sent me this picture... They want a general ID. Exact or close to exact would be awesome. I'm not confident enough in my knowledge of this genera. Thanks!

I'm thinking that this plant must belong somewhere in the oncidium alliance, but that's basically as far as I'm willing to go.

Oncidium alliance intergeneric hybrid, probably Vuylstekeara or Burrageara (Cochlioda x Miltonia x Odontoglossum x Oncidium).

Howdy
It is an odont / oncidium intergeneric, and you should do well to follow the general growing instructions for them.

In the meantime, try looking up Beallara Diane Dunn 'Pisgah' and see if we aren't a bit closer. I think it might be because of the purple around the edge, and the white / light areas in between with the dots.

Carter and Holmes used to have them, and may again in the future.
