Default is this a bulbo spike!!!

Okay this is my bulbo that got stuck in transit for a week...may or may not have a fungus jury is still out on that one...but when cleaning and doctoring noticed this growth...is it a spike?

99% sure it is new growth! I do not have this one but this looks growth to me:-)

more growths, more spikes! In general my Bulbos shoots spikes from each new growth!

frank smith is gorgeous, I have now on the way Bulbophyllum ecornutum from Seattle orchids, I could not resist, and also Bulbophyllum lasiochilum & Bulbophyllum sp. Sumatra.

BTW, if you do not mount bulbos, the pretty good mix is seedling bark (small chips) mixed with sphagnum, and on the bottom of the pot shipping popcorn! Your bark seems too big to me - meaning the chips itself.

Yeah I saw it was. All I b have hear is special mix, phal mix, dendromix. Will look into seedling bark.
