Default Help me ID it Please an Adopted Orchid

I "adopted" this Orchid, and after much care it has bloomed, now I would like to know more about it, it's name, best care anything at all.

Looks like a cattleya to me and it looks like it hasn't quite finished opening. I can't tell you much about them myself, but I would start by looking at pictures of those to see if they can send you in the right direction.

Just FYI, without a tag in the pot, you'll never know for SURE what it is, but as long as you can figure out the family, you should be able to learn how best to care for it. Good luck!

Looks kind of like Guarianthe (Cattleya) bowringiana, might also be an unidentifiable hybrid involving that or a similar species, though...

just a standard, typical, cattleya bowringiana.

BEWARE, when happy it can get tall, and wide, and put out up to 15 per spike!
