$3 NOID from Vendor Table
I found this plant on the bare root cheapo table at a local vendor. I forgot to ask for an ID and my guesses thus far have been wrong. Any ideas?

Just going by the spike habit I'd guess Phal cornu-cervi or something related, but I don't know much about Phals and it's possible that some hybrids could have this spike habit, too... Maybe someone who knows Phals/Vandaceous can give you some more solid leads. Whatever it is, though, great find for $3!

Great price! No idea what it is but when there is a flower, someone might recognize it.

The coconut it is mounted on is from home. My third coconut mount of the season.

Wow! Great find! The spikes almost remind me of P. cornu cervi, but the leaves are growing too far apart on the stem to be a Phal, IMO. It's growth habit is more like a Vanda, but I don't grow those, so I don't know what their spikes look like... I really like the way it looks on the mount! We might just have to see some flowers on that baby...

Love the mount......is it heavy ? Does it get buggy over the time when you water it ? I have seen coconut shells being used for mounts but not the whole thing!

The coconut is very light - pretty much hollowed out. I have a small pile of old dried coconuts in the backyard. They were available and I like to experiment. It's not any more buggy than other mounts outdoors in South Florida. Let's see how the experiment turns out.

I thought it might be an Eria, but I haven't been able find anything that remotely matches what I have. An Angraecum. Hadn't thought of that. Looks like I'll have to wait for the flowers.

Hey JC, ran across a close visual match while researching something else in a book... Check out genus Thrixspermum, your plant looks similar to leucarachne or maybe a related species.
