Default Is this Oncidium Sharry Baby?

My husband has been bitten by the orchid bug. Who knows where he found this, hardware store probably. It smells like HEAVEN in a pot!! The scent reminds me of this chocolate perfume I used to buy. I am in LOVE. OMG! I need one in every room of my house.

I don't care if I ever have a specific ID. I am just looking for a care sheet.

It's potted in what appears to be charcoal and I'm not sure that this is an appropriate medium for it.

It looks like it's just in straight up charcoal. I did find the better gro special mix here tho, so I'll pick up a bag for when it's ready to repot.

Is it okay in a pot that small? The pot is this teeny little 3 incher. I have it in a 4 inch ceramic pot to help it stay upright. Nevermind this part. I just re-read your post. I will go in search of some larger pots for it tomorrow where you said to up the pot.

The rest, I'll figure out in my research tonight!

Thank you so much!

They like to be tight but I would say that its pot size could be up an inch.

I'll head to the nursery and see if I can come up with some four inch pots… if not, I'll have to order online.

Would you recommend repot me.com to order supplies from?

I like RePotme.com a lot and often order form them. It's great if you can order enough to get the discount which makes the shipping almost free (at least for me). I got my last order the very next day! (and judging from your Zone, you're near me)

It smells like this chocolate scented perfume I used to buy from bath and body works. I wouldn't say it smells like a hershey bar though.
