You definately need to use TapaTalk as it's really difficult if you just try and go to the website. If you are using that then I know how to do it on an Android, not sure how similar it is on the iPad. Here is what I would do on Android.
At the top of Tapatalk there is a set of buttons, Latest, Forums, Favorites, PM, More. Choose 'Forums', I don't think you can create threads from the other options.
Choose the forum section you want to post in, then choose the forum you want to post in. You should then have a list of the existing threads in that forum.
On the Android there is a button on the phone (not on the screen) next to the central home button which is for 'menu'. Do you have a similar menu button on the iPad, or some other method of bringing up a menu that is common to all apps? If so press that. There should then be a 'New Topic' button, to create a new thread.
The menu button does not give this option unless you are viewing the threads in a specific forum (as per my instructions above). In the 'Latest' or 'Favorites' you may not see it.
Hope that helps, if not maybe someone with the iPhone version of Tapatalk will be able to help. It's not a fault with the website, as the option is there for the Android Tapatalk. I think it's just a matter of finding where it is on the iPad

TapaTalk doesn't use URL's, so that might be what Myrle means. It makes reading and posting on forums like this from a small screen/touch screen device far easier than in a web-browser.
I know it must have this option, just not entirely sure if it's in the same place as in the Android TapaTalk version as I'm not familiar with iPad or iPhone.
