Default its a phal I can say that much

Okay so while in home depot getting new terracotta pots I came across this beautiful phal. I was hoping maybe someone knew a name for it. It did not give a name on the tag of course that would be helpful. Lol

Looks almost exactly like my home depot special, other than the color of the blooms. Mine were all labeled as phal hybrids. I've never seen an identified species of orchid at the big box stores. From what I've read, I think that they breed them/splice them/raise them and do whatever else it is they do to get pretty colors that they can charge 20$ for at the big box store.

I'd be interested to see what people think though and I love the color!

I do to thats why I got it. Even the roots are different they are very thick and stiff (bright green) but all along the roots they are spotted. like they look like they are supposed to be that way to.

Really pretty one.

If there was no name on the tag then you can never know the name for certain. There can be many different hybrids that look the same and it's impossible to know for certain which yours is. That's just way of the mass produced phalaenopsis orchids.

Don't worry though, we affectionally call them NoIDs and I've got several NoID Phals (most of my phals in fact) and I love them just as much whether they have a name or not.

Ah, well someone might be able to suggest names of ones that look similar, to help you find more. I don't know a name of one like that, but I'm sure there are registered ones that look like that.
