This is what i am afraid of. However, the plant did not produce any single leaf pseudobuld and its pseudobulb is very large, much larger than my walkerianas bulb. The flower is also much bigger than my walkeriana flowers. It also smells quite different.
Most mequitae i see on the internet have overlapping side lopes while mine is overlapping. The nose and lips is also protuding forward typical of nobilior. I feel that flower is more typical of nobilior.
This is also its first flowering and the flowering condition is not optimal as it flower just 2 cm away from the fluorescent light which gives off considerable heat and brightness. I will try to flower it next year and i will update this post with the result of the second flowering under better condition.

When I shut the g/h up I checked on the two nobilior. The one from Miranda, the amalie form, has singleton leaves on the pbulbs.
The other one was from one of my favorite Ebay vendors and it has two leaves per pbulb.
Does this species do whatever it wants to do?

I did not give mine any dry winter rest as it grows in s/h and receive constant watering. I also noticed that one of my nobilior which is a cross of of amaliae form and the concolor form have some single leaf pseudobulbs, while the tipo shown in this post do not have single leaf pseudobulb. I also have another nobilior which is suppose to be nobilior courelia, but it has single leaf pseudobulb and also a double leaf pseudobulb. I am still waiting for it to flower to confirm its identity.
