Default Zygo. from the Depot.

I couldn't believe I found this beautiful Zygo. at Home Depot, today. Wouldn't you guess....no tag! It looks like it may have come from Zygo. intermedium or Zygo. pedicellatum, somewhere down the line. Any ideas????

The mystery orchid in your pics is:

Zygoneria "Adelaide Meadows."

It's a combination of five different species of Zygopetalum with Neogardneria murraya. Some clones have sepals/petals that are completely green, and others have lips that near blue in color. I used to have one just like it. Very nice plant; It grew very quickly and put out more than one new lead each time it grew. It was a little shy about flowering, and the leaves spotted slightly, but it was still a very rewarding plant. It had a spicy citrusy fragrance at night, and in the day it had a fresh narcissus/hyacinth scent.

Unfortunately, mine died of black rot. I miss it very much, and I want to buy a new one as soon as possible. It was one of my favorite orchids.

I am in Viet nam. I also plant some hybrid Zygo. They come from Mukoyama orchis, Japan. The most impression of Zygo to me is their lovely strong fragrance
