South African Leopard Orchid?
Default South African Leopard Orchid?

I was given a seed pod in South Africa that came from a leopard orchid and had it propogated. 6 years later this is what came back from the grower. It doesn't look like the leopard orchid though it does have some spots. Any ideas?

When orchids are grown from seed, they don't look exactly like each other. There will be lots of variation. You got the one without heavy spotting, but it is still Ansellia africana.

Lucky you! I've only got those with more spots on and prefer the ones with less!

Does it have a scent?

No scent. Now that it has opened more, it's quite pretty.
