Default Noid Cattleya alba

Dear all,

I have gotten this Cattleya as a present, but unfortunatelly no label was accompanying it. Now I have these wonderfull flowers, but have no idea what exactly they are. This is my first Cat. var. alba and I would really love to know its ID

Both plant and flowers are quite large (45 cm tall & 14X16 cm, respectively) and the flowers are slightly scented...

can anyone here help?

Hi Dorthy,

thanks for linkĄ I have checked already for different alba forms from Cat. species, but the flowers from my plant are "too perfec" for species. Furthermore, the scence and the flowering season, does not match any of the cats (labiata group) that I know. I am more for an Hybrid. But am also quite sure, it will be almost impossible to determine the right ID. Alba hybrids can be very similar to each others I have also checked for white hybrids, and could discard some options. So far I have these hybrids as possible ID candidates: C. Swingtime, C. Carl Hausermann & Blc. Eagle Eye 'All Victory'

I am also trying to find out where my friends bought the plant, in order to query them directly...
