Have been noticing this "Orchid" recently growing around south florida. Closest thing I could come up with is Cranefly Orchidm although it seems the two of the pedals(sepals) are located above the lip. Which I find unusual. It grows from a bulb and has no leaves.
It has a very large bulb, about the size of a baseball. Flowers are small and delicate. We're in the redlands. never seen anything like it, but it looks like the Cranefly Orchidm you mention.
I have this orchid growing under my bamboo trees in SW Florida. I noticed it as I was walking by because of the highly fragrant blossoms. Does the Cranefly Orchidm have a fragrance, or is this the Wild Asian Orchid – Eulophia graminea? Mine looks exactly like the photo above.
