NOID cymbidiums for my pond.

I'm currently in the process of building a small pond... well now I'm building the waterfall... and I figure a great way to plant around it would be to use orchids that can grow outdoors here year round...
HomeDepot has a sale on all cymbidiums... $9 each...
So I figured.. why not?
I'm still on the hunt for a white one, a cascading one, and a light pink one. Light light light pink.
But I'm very happy with what we got.
There's two minis.. and two standard sized.

The first one is a green mini with a red lip. Not alot of flowers on the spike but for some reason it's literally the only green one I've found.
The second one is also as mini but in a bright pink.

These last two are standard sized.
One is yellow...none of the flowers are open so I can't tell you much beyond that.
The other had very pretty light pink flowers.

Cyms can take full sunlight near the coast in SoCal but anything east of Disneyland needs some protection from late June through early September. Anything east of the 5 and the leaves will fry. But some shade cloth hung along the wall will suffice. Also if there is no shading for the pond, it will fill with alga so fast you won't be able to keep up with it. But shade it with 60/40 cloth and it will stay fresh for a week or so. Also a couple plecostamus( alga eating fish) will help keep the alga down. Home Cheapo has some nice inexpensive pumps to help move the water. Some lillies and duck weed and you've got it made.

Hah! What an amazing measurement.
By car I'm 15-20 minutes south from Disneyland (with reasonable traffic) and 3- 5 minutes east of the 5. Works like a grid lol..
The pond had a pump and a filter, it's also got a variety of aquatic plants and lilies. They are all just dormant lol....
There's also an albino bristlenose pleco since they stay way smaller than normal plecos.. and a dalmatian molly, and a school of white clouds.
Late June through early September is aligned pretty well with the deciduous trees that protect that area during the hottest part of the day.
