Hey everyone -
I posted these photos earlier trying to find a way to post pics and thanks to bballer4567 I was able to do so through Photobucket.
I was given these starts from a friend yesterday - and that is a quarter that two of them are setting on - these are full grown starts - the entire mother plant consists of about 30 individuals and they take up no more than a 3 inch patch. I have not seen them bloom, and was told the name several months ago but have forgotten. My friend was not aware of the name as he bought it from someone else who mentioned the name to him and his memory is no better than mine.
Aren't they cool - and TINY. Shoenorchis was suggested by Camille, but Shoen. gets longer and longer along a central psuedostem - or at least the ones that I was able to pull up with Google do. These tend to put on about 4 leaves then send up new offshoots in various directions, forming a tightly matted mass.
Any suggestions? It may be Shoenorchis and if so, the Kudos to Camille - and my bad for dismissing it so quick.
Steve
BTW - The Avatars are back - WoooHoooo! Thanks to Marty and the IT team for their hard work and patience!!
